Bread and Buttered Bakery is your destination for baked goods with a sourdough twist. Our specialty is sourdough bread loaves which consist of Plain, Triple Cheese, Jalapeno Cheddar, Rosemary and Garlic and Parmesan garlic loaves daily. Our other offerings vary per day and could include items such as focaccia by the slice, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, sandwiches, salads, cinnamon roll variations, granolas in multiple varieties and more. Every bite is a celebration of traditional baking techniques and the finest ingredients.
Origins
In an attempt to enrich our lives and bring ourselves back to the basics, Amber and I, Nikki, decided to take the journey to limiting the unnecessary processed ingredients we put into our bodies. Heading into this more holistic, simple approach to life, we discovered a passion we didn't know existed, the love and art of baking delicious breads and goods from simple and wholesome ingredients. Amber, a local Midwesterner, who has always been a steadfast learner, took to the art of sourdough as if it was her first language. Watching her go through the motions of learning stretch and folds, trial and errors of new baking methods and flavor combinations has truly been inspirational and an absolute joy to see her at true peace in the kitchen. You can see and taste the amount of love and passion that goes into every loaf. Nikki, an east coaster from Florida, has been an avid baker with a passion for the simple life, and creating beautiful dishes full of flavor. Together, we have utilized our ability to work with local farms, network with home grown businesses and be part of the homestead culture. It is our mission to have a sustainable business, deliver quality products using, when possible, organic, and local ingredients in our baked goods. From the bottom of our hearts, we both say thank you for following this journey with us and giving us the unimaginable support we continue to receive.
Our mission has always been to provide affordable, fresh baked goods to our community. In an effort to stay true to our roots, beliefs and values, we believe in giving back to the community that supports us wholeheartedly. We have a food pantry, where you can bring and or take any of the items provided, provide free sack lunches to any families in need, and currently through the holiday season are providing a milk, egg and butter pick up weekly.
